Mode Selection and Emissivity Adjustment

Druk op de WIZE button to cycle through various functions:

  • MAX: Toant de maksimale temperatuer dy't tidens in scan is registrearre.
  • MIN: Toant de minimale temperatuer dy't tidens in scan is registrearre.
  • AVG: Toant de gemiddelde temperatuer dy't opnommen is tidens in scan.
  • DIF: Displays the difference between the maximum and minimum temperatures.
  • LAL (Low Alarm): Set a low temperature alarm. The device will flash if the measured temperature falls below this value.
  • HAL (High Alarm): Set a high temperature alarm. The device will flash if the measured temperature exceeds this value.
  • Emissivity (E): Adjust the emissivity setting (0.1 to 1.0) to match the surface being measured for improved accuracy. Consult a reference table for common material emissivities.

To adjust values (e.g., alarm thresholds or emissivity), use the °F/UP en °C/DN buttons after selecting the desired mode with the WIZE knop.

Laser Pointer and Flashlight

  • Druk op de Laser Pointer Button to turn the laser on or off. The BT-1800 features dual laser pointers for precise targeting.

Ofstân nei puntferhâlding (D:S)

The BT-1800 has a Distance to Spot (D:S) ratio of 50:1. This means that at a distance of 50 units from the target, the measurement spot diameter will be 1 unit. A higher D:S ratio allows for accurate temperature measurement from a greater distance, which is crucial for high-temperature applications.

  • Reiniging: Om skjin it apparaat, wipe it mei in sêft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the lens is clean for accurate readings.
  • Batterij ferfanging: Replace the 9V battery when the low power indicator appears on the display. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section for instructions.
  • Opslach: Bewarje de thermometer yn in koel, droech plak as net yn gebrûk.

Troubleshooting

ProbleemMooglike oarsaakOplossing
Unjildich temperatuerlêzingen
  • Incorrect emissivity setting for the target material.
  • Target object does not fill the measurement spot.
  • Infrared lens is dirty or obstructed.
  • Measuring highly reflective surfaces directly.
  • Adjust the emissivity setting (E) to match the surface being measured.
  • Move closer to the target or ensure the target is larger than the measurement spot.
  • Clean the infrared lens with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For reflective surfaces, apply a non-reflective matte paint or tape to the measurement area and measure its temperature after it stabilizes.
