Ûnderhâld

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your strimmer.

  • Reiniging: After each use, clean the exterior of the unit, especially the cutting head and engine cooling fins, to prevent debris buildup. Use a damp cloth; avoid using high-pressure water.
  • Luchtfilter: Check and clean the air filter regularly (every 5-10 hours of operation, or more frequently in dusty conditions). A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance.
  • Bûzjy: Inspect the spark plug periodically. Clean or replace if it is fouled or worn. Refer to the engine specifications for the correct spark plug type and gap.
  • Snij-taheaksels:
    • Nylon Head: Replace the nylon line when it becomes too short. Ensure the correct diameter line is used.
    • Bosmaaierblêd: Inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace as needed. A dull or damaged blade can cause excessive vibration and reduce cutting efficiency.
  • Fuel System: For long-term storage (over 30 days), drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. This prevents fuel degradation and gumming.
  • Lubrication: Consult the manual for specific lubrication points, typically the gearbox at the cutting head.
