4.2. Earste opladen

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the internal Ni-MH battery using one of the following methods:

  • Hand crank opladen: Fold out the hand crank (15) and rotate it clockwise or counter-clockwise for several minutes. A red LED light will illuminate to indicate charging.
  • Solar Charging: Place the radio with the solar panel (11) facing direct sunlight. The red LED light will indicate charging. This method is best for maintaining charge or slow charging.
  • USB opladen: Connect a standard Micro USB cable (not included) to the DC input socket (8) and plug the other end into a 5V USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The red LED light will indicate charging.

5.1. Power On / Off

Slide the On/Off switch (10) to the 'ON' position to power on the radio. Slide it to 'OFF' to power off.

5.4. SOS-alarmfunksje

Slide the multi-function switch (9) to the 'ALARM' position to activate the SOS alarm. This will emit a loud siren sound and flash the red LED light. Slide it back to 'OFF' or 'LIGHT' to deactivate.

5.5. Charging External Devices (Power Bank)

Connect your mobile phone or other small electronic device to the Mobile phone charging socket (6) using a compatible USB cable. The radio's internal battery will provide power to charge your device. This function is primarily for emergency use due to the radio's battery capacity.
