Stap 1: Opset

  1. Open Mysolution.
  2. Navigate to the settings icon.
  3. Click on ‘Set up for current app’.

Step 2: App management

  1. Go to the ‘PLATFORM TOOLS’ menu under Apps.
  2. Click on ‘App Management’.

Step 3: Add External Client-app

  1. Click on ‘New external client app’ at the top right.

Step 4: Fill in Basic Information

  1. Fill in the ‘Basic information’ fields as follows:
    • Namme: Spadework
    • API name: Spadework
    • E-post: support@spadework.ai

Step 5: API: Filling in OAuth settings

  1. Enable OAuth.
  2. Stel de Call-back-URL nei: https://beta.spadework.ai/embedded/salesforce/redirect
  3. Find and select the following permissions in the list:
    • Manage user data via APIs (api)
    • Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
    • Access content resources (content)
  4. Under ‘Flow Enablement’, enable ‘Client Credentials Flow’. Ensure other flow options are unchecked.
  5. Under ‘Security’, enable ‘Require secret for Web Server Flow’. Ensure other security options are unchecked.
  6. Press ‘Create’. The app is now ready!

Step 6: OAuth Credentials Transfer

  1. Open the OAuth settings (Consumer key and secret) in the external app under Settings.
  2. Copy this information.
  3. Add it to the configuration in Spadework.

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Integration not connecting.
    • Oplossing: Double-check the Callback URL for typos. Ensure all required OAuth permissions (api, refresh_token, offline_access, content) are selected. Verify that the Consumer Key and Secret were copied correctly from Mysolution to Spadework.
  • Issue: Permissions errors during API calls.
    • Oplossing: Review Step 5 to confirm that ‘Manage user data via APIs (api)’, ‘Perform requests at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)’, and ‘Access content resources (content)’ are all enabled.
  • Issue: App creation failed.
    • Oplossing: Ensure all basic information (Name, API name, Email) is filled in correctly as per Step 4. Check that ‘Client Credentials Flow’ is enabled and ‘Require secret for Web Server Flow’ is selected in Step 5.
  • Issue: Cannot find ‘New external client app’ button.
    • Oplossing: Ensure you are in the ‘App Management’ section under ‘PLATFORM TOOLS’ as described in Step 2 and Step 3.
